Talking about health schemes, isn’t that what what Obama wants to do? Reform the health scheme? (It won’t be anything like a real socialist reformation).

As I was in town yesterday looking at the cafe TV.(I don’t have one), I noticed that the republicans opposing his initiatives looked very sick and obese.

Maybe they should be given a healthy job in the sunshine cutting cane in Cuba!!!!!

The only increase this scheme will produce is obesity. We already have enough fast food restaurants in this country, and according to statistics the third highest obesity rate in the world. Why can’t the Government help with providing ‘real’ jobs for people instead of going for the easy solution to a much larger unemployment problem that can’t be solved in the short term? Furthermore I believe the worlds largest fast food company doesn’t need subsidised wages to hire workers, perhaps they should be subsidising our public health system instead.

for anyone wondering about the last sentence, this article was written before the announcement of the “youth guarentee” scheme. Of course, that scheme is only providing 2,000 places in polytechnics when there are are over 30,000 15-19 year olds unemployed, so being sent to flip burgers is still a reality for many young people
